FOUNTAINEBLEAU RACECOURSE
Racing has taken place at Fontainebleau since 1776, although the first publically attended meeting did not take place until 1862. The Hippodrome de la Solle is situated some 35 miles South East of Paris in the forest region of Fountainebleau. The course has a circumference of 2400 metres with an extended run-in of 750 metres.
The principal race, a Listed race, is the Prix Cor de Chasse over 1100 metres for 3 year olds and upwards and is contested in late March or early April. In the latest renewal in 2014 Eton Rifles beat Myasun and Another Party. In 2013 Catcall beat Gammarth and Fred Lalloupet.
The track has a separate sprint course extending over 1200 metres.
